Sunset at the castle: Het Muiderslot

A few weeks ago I went to a castle with my school. We visited ‘Het Muiderslot’. It’s a medieval castle and probably built around 1850. The castle used to be a really important fortress of Amsterdam and is well known because  of the Dutch poet and writer P.C. Hooft. He lived there in The Dutch Golden Age.

We were there in the evening so that gives a magical feeling to the photo. You can see masts of boats on the horizon.
